Donate materials & services

In-kind donations of materials and services are a vital part of Habitat for Humanity of Utah County's mission and help us save thousands of dollars each year. By donating tools, goods and services, you will be helping to offset our costs, which enables us to run our program in a cost-effective manner. Your company can partner with Habitat for Humanity of Utah County by making an in-kind donation that will help us build and renovate homes.

If your company or foundation would like to make a contribution that will be used right here in our community, you may donate or discount building materials that can be used on our construction sites, such as tools, flooring, windows, siding, lumber, etc. For information on donating or discounting building materials, visit our MVP Club page.

Because our philosophy is to build simple decent homes, certain items may not be suitable to put in our homes. In that case, it can be just as beneficial for you to donate such items to our ReStore, our non-profit home improvement outlet. Money earned through our ReStore is used to build more homes for families in need.

In order to continue to build affordable homes we need the donation of professional labor. If you are an electrician, roofer, plumber, or have any other professional skill you think may be helpful to us, visit our MVP Club page for more information on becoming a volunteer. We also welcome offers of pro-bono services in other areas, such as printing, photography, and graphic design.

Whether you're remodeling, renovating, or razing a building, start your project green by deconstructing first. Habitat for Humanity of Utah County is proud to partner with The ReUse People of America (TRP) - an environmental non-profit dedicated to "reducing the solid waste stream and changing the way the built environment is renewed by salvaging building materials and distributing them for reuse."

TRP ensures the careful removal of everything from cabinets, flooring and fixtures, up to the entire structure - lumber and all. Harvested materials are donated to The ReUse People yielding a substantial tax deduction for you, significantly reducing your project costs along the way. These materials are taken to Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Utah County where the public can purchase them for well below retail. By deconstructing and donating your unwanted building materials to TRP, you also support Habitat for Humanity of Utah County and its mission! It’s a win-win-win: for your pocket, the community, and our environment.
