We accept all appliances in working condition.

Only complete units with all doors and drawers, shelves, display racks, etc

Doors must be in good condition. No holes, cracks, rot, etc. All types accepted.

Fixtures, parts, wire, plugs, plates and the hardware associated with electrical wiring are accepted.

Ceiling and floor fans must be complete and in working condition.

New carpet only, vinyl, tile, and hardwood. We do not accept used carpet and laminate.

All furniture should be cleaned before pickup and free of any tears or other damage.

Almost all types of hardware: knobs, hinges, locks, etc. if not rusty. Any quantity of nails, screws, connectors, etc.

All light fixtures must be in working condition.

Full and half sheets of plywood, full lengths of lumber, trim in smaller pieces (but no less than 3 ft long). Free of rot, nails and screws.

Mirrors and Glass must be framed.No loose pieces of glass or unframed mirrors.

4 ft and over of any type of pipe: all supplies and fittings.

Plumbing fixtures must be clean and in good condition. Toilets must be clean, and low flush (1.6 gallons).

All types of roofing material, such as rolled roofing material, tar, metal and bundles of new shingles. Also, roofing gutter & canale materials that are in full, and not rusty, bent or damaged.

All hand and power tools in good working condition.

Currently, only new windows will be accepted.

Salvaged materials from demolition/deconstruction of a home or other structure that has not been flooded and which otherwise comply with our donation acceptance guidelines. You may deliver them to our ReStore; or you can schedule a pick-up, so long as the items are detached from the structure, segregated and accessible on the ground floor or by elevator.

Approximately 31 percent of waste collected in Utah County landfills was categorized as “construction and demolition,” or C&D debris. Many of the items and materials which are considered C&D debris are also materials which we recycle at our ReStore, such as cabinets, sinks, paint, appliances, shelving and countertops. In this way, we provide an environmentally friendly alternative to local businesses and individuals who would generally dispose of such materials at the local landfill.

Purchase or donate new and gently used building materials and home improvement supplies for 50% – 75% off retail prices at the Habitat ReStore. All proceeds go toward building Habitat for Humanity homes for qualified families in need of safe and affordable housing.

Another way to support our Utah County ReStores is to donate items salvaged from your renovation or deconstruction of part or all of your home or other structure.  Either deliver your acceptable deconstructed items to our ReStore during normal business hours or call our office to schedule a pick-up.

• Offers clients a potential cost offset in the form of a tax deduction, which equates to real cash savings. The simple fact is, only deconstruction and not demolition provides a tax advantage.

• Receive a real cost offset for donated material. An independent expert appraiser determines the appraised value of donated materials, which usually results in a significant tax donation.
• Reduce the cost of the overall project. When offset by tax savings and lower disposal cost, the net savings increase.
• Reusable materials are kept out of overburdened landfills.
• Someone, somewhere, reuses the materials giving them extended life in new or remodeled homes.
